This was my planned Autumn return trip to Waylands Smithy, and i was not disappointed. The weather cooperated, in that it was bright with little wind, which makes a change.
The early Autumn leaves had already fallen, but it still looks fantastic. This year has had a large amount of rainfall, good for trees but not good for that Autumn show.
I recall last year when some trees still held their leaves into December!!, a very different weather year.
Get out there, the Autumn is a great time of the year Meteor showers and the Autumn colour, with many of the U K's forests giving a great display.
