Wayland's Smithy

The Ridgeway at Ashbury made for a muddy walk but it was a fine sunny winters day.
On reaching Wayland's, which is encircled by a fine Beech grove, i waited for the sun to cast low Earth hugging shadows across the chambered long barrow.
With a 20mm lens i was able to frame the main sarsen stones with the low hanging Beech branches.
Tree and stone a natural combination.
